REGINA - The tariff threat, and market access to the USA were both hot topics for NDP leader Carla Beck at the Saskatchewan Pulse Growers’ Regina winter meeting.

Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) issued a snowfall warning for the southern and east-central regions of the province.

The federal and provincial governments announced $6.9 million in joint funding to support 30 livestock and forage-related scientific research projects in Saskatchewan this year. Combined with funding from industry partners, the total amount is $7.

ESTEVAN — Peavey Mart is set to close, according to local sources and other media reports. Its store Estevan introduced a 10 per cent store-wide sale last weekend, and some departments were already looking half-empty.

Federated Co-Operatives Limited (FCL) announced Friday afternoon it is pausing two major projects in Regina that are part of it's "Integrated Agriculture Complex" - the renewable diesel facility and joint venture canola crush plant with AGT Foods.

The federal and Saskatchewan governments have announced a total of $9.4 million in funding for crop-related research, in addition to $5.4 million in co-funding from industry partners for a combined total of $14.8 million in 2025.

The Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture is in need of additional crop reporters for this growing season. As of November 28th, 2024, the Ministry of Ag has 209 Crop Reporters throughout the province. A map shows R.M.

While the new Provincial Agriculture Minister has only been in the role since early-November, there was plenty to do and plenty to talk about.

REGINA - The Government of Saskatchewan's Crown oil and natural gas public offering, held on Dec. 3, raised $11,392,502 for the province, with the southeast region generating most of the revenue.
