The Manitoba government is encouraging Manitobans to shop, cook, dine and celebrate the quality and diversity of local and Canadian foods and cuisine by participating in the 20th anniversary of Food Day Canada tomorrow.

CN and CP Rail have submitted their annual grain transportation plans to the federal government. They are required by law to submit plans to the federal transport minister each year.

Nutrien says it has decided to indefinitely pause its ramp-up plans for potash production. The company cited market conditions for stopping efforts to bolster potash output to 18 million tonnes.

Russia attacked a key Ukrainian port today sending global food prices higher. The attacks halted ships in their tracks as they prepared to arrive there to load up with Ukrainian grain in defiance of a de-facto blockade Russia reimposed in mid-July.

Well over 100 people packed the Cabri Community Hall yesterday afternoon (Tues), where a townhall meeting was held on current supports for producers. It was hosted by the Saskatchewan Cattlemen's Association; also in attendance were staff from Sask.
