SASKATOON — Saskatchewan Heavy Construction Association President Shantel Lipp said the organization is ready to co-operate again with Dave Marit, who will be returning to his previous role leading the Ministry of Highways and Infrastructure.

REGINA - It is back to work for MLAs at the Saskatchewan Legislature this week following Monday’s provincial election. New and returning members were at the Legislature as they started their preparations for the fall session.

YORKTON – United Farmers of Alberta (UFA) has provided a welcome boost to BGC Yorkton. The UFA announced Oct. 30, a $500 donation to the non-profit organization, which was chosen by the UFA delegate body.

REGINA - The Government of Saskatchewan's Crown latest oil and natural gas public offering, held on Oct. 29, raised $7,304,936 for the province, with the southeast region generating the majority of the revenue.

Tracy Robinson, the president and CEO of Canadian National Railway, is making a visit to Regina, and its a homecoming of sorts. Robinson was born in Bethune, and went to Lumsden High School.

This year saw more tornado activity compared to the yearly average for Saskatchewan. Environment Canada Meteorologist Terri Lang says there were 17 tornadoes recorded compared to one in 2023, above the yearly average of 14.

MACKLIN — The Macklin Fire Department says Logan Sieben, 25, arrested and charged by Unity RCMP in connection to recent hay bale fires in Unity/Macklin, was a member of the department.

Canada's High Commissioner to the U-K Ralph Goodale is back in Regina. As a long time MP for Regina Wascana, as well as a former cabinet minister, Goodale says its nice to come back home for a visit.
