CN and CPKC Rail supplied a combined 90% of hopper cars ordered in grain week 47, a decline from the previous week’s 94% order fulfillment performance.

On a combined basis, CN and CPKC have now supplied 90% or more of cars ordered in each of the last eleven weeks.

The decline in performance reflects a deterioration in performance for CN and improved performance for CPKC.

In supplying 81% of hopper cars ordered on time in week 47, CN’s performance declined notably from the 94% posted in week 46 falling below the 90% performance threshold for the second time in the last three weeks.

CPKC order fulfillment performance improved with the railway supplying 99% of cars ordered, up from the 94% order fulfillment performance seen the previous week.

CPKC remains above the 90% threshold for the eleventh straight week and 14th time in the last 15 weeks.
