Improved grain deliveries once again for Canada's two main railways in Week 50: Ag Transport Coalition

CN and CPKC Rail supplied a combined 98% of hopper cars ordered in grain week 50, reflecting an improvement from the 94% order fulfillment performance seen in week 49. That's according to the Ag Transport Coalition.

CN and CPKC Rail supplied a combined 98% of hopper cars ordered in grain week 50, reflecting an improvement from the 94% order fulfillment performance seen in week 49. 

That's according to the Ag Transport Coalition.

This marks the ninth consecutive week that system performance has been above the90% threshold, and represents the best performance seen thus far this grain year. 

In supplying 97% of cars ordered by shippers in week 50, CN saw performance improve from the 92% order fulfillment performance seen the prior week. 

This marks the thirteenth consecutive week that CN order fulfillment performance has reached or surpassed the 80% performance threshold, and the sixth time in the last nine weeks that performance has been 90% or better. 

CPKC saw performance improve once again, with the railway supplying 99% of shipper orders in week 50 as compared to the 98% order fulfillment performance seen in week 49. 

This marks the tenth consecutive week the railway has posted performance of 90% or better.
