Ryan grew up on a small grain farm in the Margo-Lintlaw area of east-central Saskatchewan.

After graduating from Western Academy Broadcasting College in Saskatoon in January 2015, Ryan started his broadcasting career in Melfort as a news intern in March the same year. Two months into his internship, he joined the GX94 News Department as Afternoon News Anchor and Reporter in Yorkton in June.

After seven-and-a-half years of covering it all – from news conferences to council meetings and even dabbling into a bit of ag – Ryan made the jump to 620 CKRM as the Agricultural News Director.

His farming background and penchant for asking questions will serve him well in his role.
