Assiniboia-area grain farmer Scott Hepworth has been elected GGC Chair.

The release notes Hepworth's strong backgrounds in policy advocacy and prairie agriculture, saying he'll bring strong leadership and a clear vision to the role during a critical juncture for the grain sector.

Joining Hepworth on the executive is Baldur, Manitoba grain farmer Sally Parsonage as First Vice Chair.

She also serves as Vice Chair of the Manitoba Crop Alliance.

Glaslyn-area grain farmer Daryl Fransoo, the Chair of the Wheat Growers Association will serve as Second Vice Chair on the GGC executive.

The new executive trio has already begun their term.

GGC Executive Director Kyle Larkin welcomed them to their new post, quoted in the release, saying "With Scott, Sally and Daryl's leadership in these roles, GGC is well positioned to advance short-term and long-term policy solutions that strengthen the profiability, resiliency and viability of family-run grain farms across Canada."
