A pair of announcements were made ahead of a Saskatchewan-led trade mission to China, Japan, and South Korea.

First, the federal government announced supports for the canola producers and more broadly the agriculture sector, including $370 million in a new biofuel production incentive. Second, China announced a six month extension of its anti-dumping probe into Canadian canola seed, meaning the preliminary anti-dumping duty of 75.8 per cent on canola seed will remain in effect until March 9, 2026.

The SaskAgToday.com Roundtable looks at the announcements and what it means for the ag sector moving forward.
