The Ag Transport Coalition says week 5 saw performance decline once again for each of CN and CPKC Rail as compared to the prior week.

In week 5, CN and CPKC combined supplied 80% of hopper cars ordered, representing a decline from the 89% order fulfillment performance seen in week 4.

System performance has now declined for three consecutive weeks from the 99% order fulfillment performance seen in week 2 to 80%.

This marks the second consecutive week that system performance has fallen below the 90% threshold.

In supplying 68% of cars ordered by shippers in week 5, CN saw performance decline significantly for a second straight week from the 86% order fulfillment performance in week 4.

This marks the first time in twenty weeks that performance has been below 80%.

CPKC saw performance decline slightly, with the railway supplying 90% of shipper orders in week 5 as compared to the 91% order fulfillment performance seen in week 4.

This marks the seventeenth consecutive week the railway has posted performance of 90% or better.
