My Precision Ag on what to consider when retrofitting older farming equipment

Many older models of farm equipment can be retrofitted with new technology, specifically technology that allows variable rates. At this month’s Ag Days in Brandon, one of the presenters was Matt Yanick, the president of My Precision Ag based out of Rocanville, Saskatchewan.

The company works with farmers on equipment upgrades. Yanick says before investing in an upgrade a producer should evaluate whether the existing machine has sufficient size and is in good enough repair to warrant the expenditure. If that’s the case, more and more upgrade kits are becoming available.

Yanick spoke with SaskAgToday.com’s chief agricultural editor Kevin Hursh at Ag Days in Brandon.
