R-C-M-P say an appeal for information has produced “considerable information” about the deaths of 17 Skeetchestn traditional horses, west of Kamloops, BC.
The remains of the wild horses were found in early March near Walhachin — and police said at the time that the herd had been shot.
Corporal James Grady says the R-C-M-P’s livestock section continues to investigate and, despite the many tips, it still hopes someone has information that could crack the case.
Grady says the Skeetchestn Band has been a vital partner in efforts to determine what happened but “despair continues to resonate through the community” as they seek answers and closure.
