AAFC Asks Producers to Participate in Survey

Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada is looking for Canadian farmers to participate in a survey about weather and climate.

Producers have until October to take part in the Agroclimate Impact Reporter survey.

The survey is open for the last week of each month until October.

The online survey is designed for the collection and reporting of weather and climate impacts on farm operations across Canada.

Producers can complete the survey by email or by phone as well.

The questionnaire takes about five minutes to complete and requires information like:

  • Farm location
  • Type of farm
  • If the area is experiencing weather or climate-related impacts
  • Soil moisture condition, and
  • Steps farmers have taken to adapt to challenging weather this year.

Once the responses are collected, scientists use them to create a map of conditions across Canada.
