SARM encourages young people to get involved in rural councils

SARM has launched a campaign to attract young people to join rural municipal councils.

President Ray Orb says more young families are calling rural Saskatchewan home.

He says having more young people on council ensures a vibrant rural municipal government.

Orb says getting involved on council helps young people gain knowledge and advance rural development issues.

There are 296 rural municipalities across Saskatchewan.
